Hi everyone,
I'm Kevin Andrew Murphy. I'm a published author and sometimes I use famous gemstones in my stories.
Right now I'm researching the Maximilian and Carlotta diamonds and also Carlotta's crown, as seen in a couple of her portraits.
Do any photographs or paintings exist of the Maximilian and Carlotta diamonds, both the stones and the settings? Also, does anyone know the fate of Carlotta's crown and also possibly details on its manufacture?
Thanks!
Kevin

There is a painting of princess Carolta wearing the crown? Is that the crown u referring to?
Yes, that's the crown. I found another painting of her wearing the same crown by a different painter, but no information on the crown itself.
Here's one of the other paintings with the crown:

And here's another with the crown and with the same necklace again. Would the bottom pendant diamond be the right size to be the Carlotta diamond at 33 carats?

Where is the pendent in the Pic? U can upload photos to our forum via attachment or gallery.
I was meaning more the bottom stone in her diamond necklace. It's not dangling like a regular pendant would but the pendant could be clasped to a diamond chain. It's hard to tell with the paint. What I meant was, does the central diamond of the necklace look large enough to be 33 carats?
yes.its hard to say. the painting is not so clear.i will look for other sources and let u know
